I have a few close friends but they have their lives too. I don't really know who to go to besides the Lord sometimes. I take things to Ben but right now it is different with him. Thank you for posting this and knowing now I am not the only one out there with this difficulty!Ben and Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15486735943996376819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4558486009931507220.post-55115803171643190092011-05-26T09:59:38.496-05:002011-05-26T09:59:38.496-05:00The other thing about this is that my core friends...The other thing about this is that my core friends also have to figure out how to deal with the fact that the way I feel and the extent to which I want to talk about Eliza changes from day to day or moment to moment. Grief is a big black pit, but it's also a minefield.

Mostly though I just wish you could find a video of your 5th grade performance because I am sure it was awesome.Brookehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05946311309467296976noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4558486009931507220.post-65784798233284441592011-05-25T19:36:28.594-05:002011-05-25T19:36:28.594-05:00I feel you, girl.

I have others who haven't said anything.

Still some people at my office haven't said one thing to me about it.

I understand that they don't know whether they should say anything, so they don't.

But still.

I feel you! All and all I've had a couple of core friends that were good and the rest were absolute sh*t. Like a couple of my close friends barely even acknowledged by loss. Now I don't really even want to be friends with them. My best guess is that they just don't "get it". This whole process has made me feel more alone than I have in my whole life.Newlywed Next Doorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08357693388102644184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4558486009931507220.post-9271040790109130112011-05-25T17:17:09.385-05:002011-05-25T17:17:09.385-05:00My core friends have let me down for sure. We'...My core friends have let me down for sure. We've become distant over the years, but when Adam died, they stepped up. Now, it's hit and miss. Just went to a bbq with them last week and NOT ONE asked about him or said his name. I left very hurt and just drained. I told my mom, I get that people don't know what to say or that they're uncomfortable or whatever, but I think it's rude and just mean. Suck it up and at least ask, can we talk about it. I'm happy to have newer friends and internet friends that are there 24/7. Thanks for posting this. A lot of my friends read my blog, and I can't vent about a lot of this.Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04548457462997589508noreply@blogger.com
