Easter

We waited in a line of 40+ people with their kids to put Benjamin on a complete stranger's lap (in a bunny suit) for approximately 25 seconds.

And this is the result of our wasted time efforts. A kid who could care less about sitting on said stranger's lap.
We felt B would be cheated without a bunny picture or something. And I guess we should be a little festive, right?

----------   -----------

That was last week. This weekend was no. fun. We were all sick and I changed no fewer than 8 vomited-on crib sheets. But somehow, Benjamin managed to be cuter than ever, super snugly  and lots of fun at the first park visit of the season. Between both sets of grandparents and some wonderful local friends (and a thing or two from us... but this kid now officially has more toys than a toy store!), Benjamin had two Easter baskets. The main basket was at home and he took to it quite well. Later in the afternoon, we went over to a friend's house and they gave him a second Easter basket. #spoiledbaby

{This post would be more exciting, except I'm tired, feeling crappy, hungry, and still dealing with ridding my house of the smell of vomit. Also, stressed. Seeing my baby sick is so miserable and hard on my grief.}

I blame the Easter bunny for the vomit virus that invaded your home.

I completely get why a sick baby is hard on grief. Lillian had a fever on and off all day yesterday. By bedtime I felt rattled. I hope you get a few peaceful days ahead.

Hope you start feeling better...NOTHING worse than a stomach bug that levels the whole house. B's expressions are great. Such a cutie!!!

It's so hard when everyone is sick at the same time :( Hope you all feel better soon. B looks like he enjoyed the Easter basket and egg dying! Fun stuff!

he is adorable. just thinking of putting juli on a bunny's lap makes me break out in hives thinking of how much screaming she would be doing.

hope everyone is on the mend.

B's expression after looking at the bunny is hilarious...It's like he's thinking "um, mom...why's with the giant bunny?"

Hope you are feeling better soon!!!

Logically we know our rainbows are going to get sick...It is humanly impossible for them not to. So why is it such a grief trigger when they do get sick? Is it the fear? Guilt? I've been thinking a lot about this lately as my rainbow has been dealing with sinus congestion...And I am basically a wreck, and it SUCKS! ~Lindasy

I love those pics of him with the easter bunny, he is not impressed!! I hadn't even thought of taking Livia to get pictures, I just opted out of most Easter things this year...oh well..
