I heart Puerto Rico! Fun stuff! Me and Hubby went solo before we had a little one in tow!

Awesome place to visit. Easy to get to and very fun. I spent a few days in San Juan. Old San Juan is fun to walk around. Visit El Morro. If you have a chance, I would highly recommend heading to Fajardo to kayak the bioluminescent bay at sunset. It is amazing. I'm not sure how that would work with a little one, but was my favorite experience in Puerto Rico. The rainforest (El Yunque) was pretty too. Enjoy!

Kinda similar to the Texas flag. You sure that wasn't a google image error? :)

(Sorry in advance for this long post!)

We've been! We stayed in the Condado area of San Juan, and I felt that it was our most rustic vacation. As opposed to the resort-style honeymoon in Jamaica. I think you can have different experiences based on the type of trip you want to take (resort vs. exploring). Are you staying at an all inclusive resort or just a hotel and exploring during the days?

We took the tiniest plane ever to Culebra island and then hitch-hiked to the docks and took a ferry back to Port Fajardo... That is all no bueno with a toddler.

If you're doing Old San Juan (which was worthwhile to us), there is a wonderful LARGE grassy area near the fortified sea-wall and overlooking the ocean and historic cemetery that would be great for B to run around in because OSJ would mean lots of stroller time for B. Plus it has a killer scenic view and was a lovely time. We took public transport once (the bus) and it seemed fine to us.

As far as restaurants-- PR had the best Mexican food I've ever had! But our best experience was at Budatai (google it!) in Condado on the water. Still remains my husbands favorite meal ever!

PR had the friendliest people, awesome food and good rum! Have a blast!

Hope that works, its a pic of the grassy area that I've deemed toddler friendly :)

Oh and we went in 2010-- pre-baby so I can't say how all those activities would go with a little one.

My dad is Puerto Rican, but sadly I have only visited once. I love it there and can't wait to take my kids one day. You'll have a great time!

We stayed at La Concha last November for my brother in laws wedding. It is beautiful. Expect hot and humid which is definitely welcome when leaving the midwest. We didn't get down to Old San Juan, but I have heard great things. We liked it and that was with baby in tow.

We may be going back in May for our 10 yr anniversary. Have fun...you guys deserve it!!!
