Because I'm Home Alone on a Friday Night

Full of the randoms here at the Wilson casa this evening. The husband is away, so I shall play blog nerdily (new adverb?) about all kinds of nothing.

What do you think about my new necklace interest? For a little under $7, this could be yours! To be worn on particularly crappy days as to warn others-- beware of Black Cloud Brandy. Her wrath may be upon you!

And this more angelic, white cloud for days when I don't feel like such a case? All yours for $3. I bet it's made of some quality materials.

I just don't really know what to make of this story. Vomit?

Some special highlights:
  • "Outies" are rare. Only about 4% of people have them.
  • Hairier belly button regions attract more lint.
  • Your belly button is a "lint trap" for clothing fibers, dead skin, fat, sweat, and dust. Yummy.
  • It's possible to have navel melanoma.
You're welcome.

I have a consult to have this done next week...
While I haven't been able to muster up the courage to get a massage just yet, I figured acupuncture may be in order. Why not, right? Anything that might calm my nerves and baby-loss anxiety just a tad is welcome. Plus, it just seems fitting to have someone stick needles all over my body.

Officially halfway through my cut-the-crap challenge. It's freaking hard. But in other news... this paired with about 4-5 days of zumba each week has landed my bottom back into my slim teaching pants! I bought them in 2006 and I was proudly sporting 2 different pairs this week! I seriously want an ice cream sundae, though. Not gonna lie. And one of these would be really nice about now:

A list of my favorite adult beverages:
  1. Margarita on the rocks, salted rim
  2. Mojito
  3. Fat Tire Amber Ale
  4. Other beers
  5. Other cocktails
What I'm having for dinner tonight since the husband is away... this is usually his specialty since he can make nothing else except, as he'd tell you, macaroni & cheese.

And why not... since this is random after all...
ABC's of me:

A. Age: 28
B. Bed size: King
C. Chore you detest: Floors, any and all.
D. Dog person or cat person: Neither. Fur = Wilson nemesis
E. Essential start to your day: Brush teeth. You wouldn't guess from my dental visits, now would you?
F. Favorite color: Blue
G. Gold or silver: Silver Platinum. But that wouldn't work for "G" and neither does silver!
H. Height: 5' 3"
I. Instruments you play(ed): None
J. Job title: Depends who you're asking. Teacher, sad mama, friend, daughter, wife, sister...
K. Kids: Andrew
L. Live: Chicago 'burbs
M. Mom’s name: Debbie
N. Nicknames: Bran, Branmuffin
O. Overnight hospital stays: 12/5/10, 12/6/10
P. Pet peeves: Oh man. What a question. Not returning your shopping cart is pretty high on the list.
Q. Quote from a movie: Dislike this question. Movie quoters, meh.
R. Righty or lefty: Righty
S. Siblings: Older brother, Justin
T. Time you wake: Between 6:45-8:30 depending on the day/circumstances
U. Underwear: Yes
V. Vegetables you don’t like: A few... but eggplant tops the charts. Too squishy.
W. What makes you run late: Sometimes my husband, sometimes me
X. X-rays you’ve had: teeth
Y. Yummy food you make: Enchilada casserole, various soups, pizzas...
Z. Zoo animal favorites: Giraffe

I can't believe I just typed that out. I was never really into those lists...

Here's what my cleaning product stash is looking like lately. I have a problem people. I need an intervention. This doesn't include some cleaning products under bathroom sinks in each of the 4 bathrooms in our house. Did I mention our house is far too big for just two people?
Here's just some of the laundry detergent we have. They're all completely full except the blue bottle. I washed two loads.

In case you weren't counting, I was. That's 330 loads worth of laundry.Obsessed. I <3 clean things.

And finally, in honor of the husband I'm missing so much right now... a picture of something he brought back from Germany for me. They're typically found in packs of 2 at the Kaufmarkt there, but since he had no transportation to one, he purchased this lonely guy at the pertrol station. So delicious! It's one of the small things I really miss about Germany.

I was just about to email you to find our what you're up to. I guess I now know. :)

I like your cleaning stash, makes me less ashamed of mine! :) Ps. Do you have the Bounce Dryer Bar, is that what I see in the back of the cupboard? BC mine gets unstuck and rolls around in the dryer making thumping noises. Makes me mad, though I like the idea in theory.

Hope your having a good (nerdy) night!

Holy wow on the cleaning supplies.
I did acupuncture for about a month before I did my 2nd IUI before I got pregnant with Liam. It really helped to relax my nerves a little since the first one had failed. Hope it goes well for you

I think you may have a cleaning problem. There may be bloggers for that ;)
You'll have to let me know how the accupuncture thing goes-kind of freaky!!!

A clean home is a happy home! :))

And interesting choices for alcohol drinks! Mojoitos I tried but not for me, maybe the mint is why? YET, I do like mint desserts but maybe they just dont mix for me well. But it surely is pretty thats why I gave it a try! I am and was intending to make a "random" blog entry as well!

Enjoyed reading yours!
