I don't get the saying, but whatever.
Continuing on with the our baby-is-supposed-to-be-here-but-he's-not Distraction projects #'s 2 &3. Popcorn ceiling scrape and wallpaper removal of the family room. This is going to be one classy space once the entire 70's decade is removed.
Sometimes I just want to go back in time (okay, I want that a lot) and just ask the former owners what on earth they were thinking...

Our house pre-dates the hay day of bumpy ceiling, so we're fortunate enough to have smooth ceilings.
We do though, have damp walls in our laundry room, so I had to go out and buy mildew/mould resistant paint for the brick since I pulled down the weird cardboardy-walls. Scott's never going to leave again at this rate, ha. :)
Your kitchen looks fabulous :)
Oh i remember this project... left the bump in most of the ceilings after my experiences in the bathrooms.... had to call help in after a while! HA! Mine wasn't coming off quite as nice as yours did in that big sheet-like piece in the pic!
Haha!! You two are going to sleep WELL!
I'm just distracted by your very fab kitchen! :)
Maybe you'll want to add a twitter button to your blog. Just marked down the blog, although I must make it by hand. Just my $.02 :)
