My Assumptions: Everyone likes a train wreck and everyone likes to believe in love.
Regardless, I've learned a few things over the years and hours upon hours of wasted time:
1. I am so thankful for my husband. So many people are still searching and I know how it feels to want that person in your life to love you unconditionally.
2. It allows me to get out of my life for a little while. The stresses, the frustrations, the sadness. Two hours of my day go by without thinking about them.
3. It makes me laugh. Do I believe in it? Not a chance! I'm a spoiler-reader and don't believe this show to be that realistic, but it's still entertaining nonetheless. I don't like serious shows--so no cop or hospital dramas for me.
We don't watch all that much TV in the Wilson house, but our favorites (well, my husband won't watch The Bachelor) include: The Amazing Race, The Big Bang Theory, Wipeout (if I'm feeling particularly childish), and Lie to Me. We used to be big fans of The Office but have been inconsistent with watching. We've also watched an episode of the new reality show with Bobby Flay, The Next Great Restaurant (for the business aspect and love for food), but others just come and go.

I am with you!!! I LOVE the Bachelor/Bachelorette because it is crap tv. We should talk soon about the recent episodes :)
haha! I had to laugh at the title of this post. No, I quit watching years ago, but I am obesessed with The Real Housewives series for all of the reasons you listed for watching the Bachelor. Mostly because no matter how bad of a day I've had, I can laugh, drop my jaw and enjoy some cazy drama for a bit. Nothing wrong with a little escape!
I am a sucker for reality TV. I will watch the Bachelor tonight. My husband and I have been watching the new restaurant show too...we like it. I think the grilled cheese or the Compleat one will win!! What do you think?

I watch, can't help it. I also cheat and read spoilers. I heart Emily, she's so sweet.
I love that my husband is NOTHING like bachelor Brad, with his "ahs" and "I gotta be honest"... BLECH. :)

This is the first time I have ever watched the whole season of Bachelor. I am so glad I stuck with it. I heard that Brad was a former one and I heard a little a bit what he did so I thought I gotta watch this one, and so every Monday night I was able to watch it or if not recorded it.
I also admit, thanks to my friend, I didnt know, that there are spoilers out there, for probably everything. So yes, I know who wins tonight. But in a way I am glad, because If i had watched until the end, I would have well been dissapointed.
I also read a magazine, not sure if it is true or not, but about one of them, that really SHOCKED me. So after yo uwatch the show, maybe I can come back and comment and see what you think! :)
We LOVE Big Bang Theory!!!!!! I don't think I have ever heard anyone else say that they watch it! Bazinaga!
